Global Operations Specialist- Immediate

• Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000

We are seeking an Operations Specialist to join a logistics company specialising in metal and energy sectors. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of international trade, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work closely with traders to ensure smooth operations.

• Oversee operations relating to contracts, payments, and documentation, coordinating cross-trade shipments with suppliers, customers, and shipping companies.
• Ensure all obligations arising from contracts are fulfilled and compliance with sanctions and local regulations is maintained.
• Act as the main point of contact between operation teams of customers and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and operation of shipments to avoid additional costs.
• Monitor vessel movements in collaboration with the shipping operations team.
• Process Letters of Credit (LC): issue LCs to suppliers, review LCs from buyers, present LC documents to the negotiating bank, and submit LC documents to the issuing bank.
• Assist traders in accomplishing the KYC procedure for new deals.
• Ensure all operational information is saved on the company’s systems in a timely manner and maintain adequate records.

• Fluent in English with excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Degree in Business Management, Accounting, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of international trade.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate across departments and integrate external resources.
• Team player with a willingness to learn and self-motivated.
• High willingness to learn new aspects of commodity trading and take on various roles.
• Positive attitude, responsible, and honest.
