Position: Geography Teacher

Job Description:

As a Geography Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality geography education to students at KS3/KS4. You will engage students in facilitating stimulating discussions, and inspire curiosity about the natural world. With your passion for geography and dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment, you will empower students to achieve their full potential and develop essential skills for their future endeavours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to enhance understanding and retention of geographic concepts.
  • As a Geography Teacher, you must be able to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enrichment activities.
  • Participate in school-wide events, parent meetings, and professional development sessions as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching geography at the KS3/KS4 level.
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • As a Geography Teacher, you must have the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve academic excellence.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
