Geography Teacher - ASAP Permanent Start!

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate Geography Teacher to fulfil a permanent, full time role within a large Secondary Academy based in Southampton. 

The school is part of a cluster of academies located all over the UK, and are committed to a relentless drive to improving outcomes for young people. It is a large, modern school with state of the art facilities, providing students with opportunities for learning and a safe learning environment. The school also work closely with the community, encouraging pupils to be upstanding citizens and being respectful to both the school environment and the community.

The successful candidate will share the ambition of community transformation, delivered by exceptional education at the heart of the community, and are searching for somebody who can join them on the next phase of our journey. The successful candidate will be required to teach Geography to all abilities across KS3 and KS4 to an excellent standard and be willing to enrich the curriculum with their own knowledge and experience.

This role offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate to develop their role working in collaboration with the other academies in Southampton. You must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate students and demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. We are looking for a passionate teacher who shares our desire for the highest academic standards for young people.

The salary for this role is currently set at £30,000 to £43,565 per annum, in line with the Teacher Pay Scale.

For this role, you will be/will need:

- Relevant degree with Qualified Teacher Status

- Experience working within a school setting

- Willing to demonstrate commitment to the values of the school

- Good behaviour management, with a genuine commitment to students

- Passion to raise attainment within classes

- To uphold the Teacher Standards
