Job title: General operator (Looming)

Contract: 12-month

Salary: £16.88 rising to £17.88

SRG are working with a UK defence company to hire a general operator for a site based in Bolton, UK. As a general operator, you'd be responsible for carrying out assembly and manufacturing procedures, working to all quality standards and safety procedures. This role would be perfect for someone with experience in looming assembly and micro electric wiring (e.g. circuit boards), preferably in manufacturing, but other experience may be considered. As this role is within the defence industry, the successful candidate will have to be a British National.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Detailed standard assembly/ manufacturing activities, assembling looming systems and circuit wiring.
  • Following technical specifications to create assemblies.
  • Undertaking all work to requisite procedures, quality standards, safety requirements and timescales.
  • Contribute to the efficient movement of work and information in the manufacturing area.
  • Comply with all health and safety requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

  • UK national
  • Experience assembling Cabling, wiring, cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
  • Experience in electronic assemblies in a manufacturing environment.
  • Dexterity for fine manufacturing work.
