Are you an experienced and forward-thinking director / leader with experience overseeing and managing the delivery of utility-scale renewable or complex infrastructure projects?

On offer is a unique opportunity to join an innovative renewable energy specialist in a dynamic and fast-paced role, where you will have autonomy to drive future direction of the business and significantly contribute to BESS infrastructure within the UK Energy market.

This multifaceted organisation are seen as industry leaders within the UK Energy Storage market, specialising in the development, delivery and asset management of utility-scale BESS projects. They have the expertise and capability to deliver scalable projects efficiently and effectively, with plans to supply over 1GW of projects within the UK market. Due to success in European markets and an internal restructure, they now wish to appoint a General Manager for BESS in the UK to deliver operational excellence.

In this role, the General Manager will lead and manage the energy storage business unit within the UK. You will oversee all operations of projects from inception to asset management, analyse performance across operational functions, develop and implement strategic plans to optimize delivery and profitability across the business, keep abreast of emerging markets and new technologies and contribute ideas for future developments.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing multiple teams, divisions and projects concurrently whilst delivering operational excellence across a business. Experience should be within the renewable sector (ideally BESS) or working on complex infrastructure projects. It is imperative that candidates are dynamic and highly adaptable, and have a strong understanding of project finance schemes.

The Role:
*Oversee operational, financial and legal aspects of utility scale BESS projects across all functions from inception to asset management
*Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize delivery and profitability across the business
*Keep abreast of emerging markets and new technologies and contribute ideas for future growth
*Ensure operational excellence across the teams / projects

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a hybrid working role, it will be based in the Central London office

The Person:
*Proven leader with experienced as a Managing / Operations Director, General Manager or similar
*Experience working on renewable or complex infrastructure
*Excellent knowledge of project finance schemes
*Dynamic, adaptable and able to work in fast-paced environments
*Good understanding of market trends and new technologies
