General Assistant / Cashier , Contract Catering & Hospitality, London, £9.75ph - £11.50ph

Location: Westminster

General Assistants will be required to work within the team supporting the Supervisors and Chefs to ensure the smooth and effective running of their area.

Main Responsibility:

  • To be aware of customer's expectations and strive to provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • To ensure that all food and beverage displays and fridges are replenished when needed and ensure that all items for sale are available throughout the day.
  • Assist with ensuring that tables are kept clean, free of litter and neatly arranged.
  • Ensure that condiment and cutlery stands are replenished when needed.
  • Serve dishes according to portion control and presentation guidance.
  • Occasionally assist with food and beverage stock takes.
  • Process transactions through the till in a timely and efficient manner and in line with the Cash Handling Policy.
  • At the end of the day ensure that all unused stock is returned to the main refrigerators and that the unit is clean, tidy and ready for the following day's trade.
  • Ensure that all Catering Service areas are cleaned in line with cleaning schedules on a daily basis, which will include some light cleaning duties.
  • Undertake other job related task if asked to do so in order to support the Catering department, for which training has been provided.
  • To be aware of customer's expectations and strive to provide excellent customer service at all times.
