Leigh Day’s London office is currently seeking to appoint a GDPR Assistantto join the Business Services Department. Reporting to the GDPR Group, the main responsibility will involve conducting workstation visits and undertaking checks on staff computers to confirm the data held complies with the firm’s GDPR policies and cleaning data if required.

Main tasks and responsibilities;

Assisting the IT Team in all administrative aspects of their work relating to GDPR:

  • Drafting general and basic correspondence as required.

  • Conducting site and workstation visits.

  • Assisting with the running of internal checks of data held by staff on their Leigh Day desktops, personal drives and outlook.

  • Undertaking cleaning/deletion when required.

  • Updating the GDPR group on progress.

  • Undertaking other relevant tasks as appropriate.

To be successful you must be able to;

  • Excellent academic background to degree level is required.

  • Demonstrable experience in using a variety of IT packages.

  • Communicate accurately, clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing with a wide range of clients and various stakeholders.

  • The ability to organise and prioritise a complex workload and work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
