Calisen is in an exciting and strong position where we are seeing growth and development in all areas of the business, and we now have an exciting opportunity for a Gas Metering Support Technician to work within our Technical Services team.

The Gas Metering Support Technician will provide effective gas technical support to Calisen’s directly employed & sub-contracted meter operatives, and assist the Technical Managers, Senior Meter Technicians and Line Managers in producing technical reports & aiding complaint resolutions.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. While the role offers the flexibility of working from home, occasional travel to our Wigan offices will be necessary. The annual salary for this role is £40,059.

What we are looking for

  • Gas Safe registered with 3+ years' experience in gas smart meter installation and accreditation in metering and appliances. Prior supervisory or coaching experience preferred, along with experience in electric meter installation.
  • Proficient in providing gas technical support and advice.
  • Detailed knowledge of Industry Metering standards, Smart Metering installation & commissioning, and IGEM codes of practice.
  • Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong administrative, communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, adept at both teamwork and independent initiative.
