Junior New business Sales executive

Location: London, UK

The Capital Markets business unit of the London Stock Exchange Group seeks young, highly motivated professionals with financial markets background for our New Business Sales Team. The position is located in London, UK. The candidate must possess solid Financial Markets experience (educational and ideally practical), have knowledge of the Foreign Exchange trading ecosystem, possess sales development skills, pipeline build/pipeline management experience and be able to operate in a high energy and dynamic environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are essential; Other language skills are a strong plus. The candidate will be working closely with our FX Sales Managers, Account Managers, Technology teams and should ideally have experience in selling established software and/or information services within the Foreign Exchange financial community. She/he will be a self-starter, provide a high level of sales and customer service and will possess technical affinity.

Responsibilities:
  • Actively prospect new business sales candidates.
  • Responsible for building/maintaining a new business sales pipeline to include Asset Managers, Corporates, Banks and Hedge Funds.
  • Responsible for actively supporting our FX Relationship Managers (Account Managers) and the Regional FX Management in all relevant sales issues.
  • Delivering regular product and workflow demonstrations to new leads and prospects.
  • Provide accurate and detailed new business call reports in Salesforce, others.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers (Account Managers) for new build product activity, assisting the onboarding process of new clients.
  • Support in driving business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction for new clients onboarded/live.
Required Skills:
  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics or Computer Science.
  • 1-3 years professional sales experience, preferably in the financial industry. Recently graduating candidates with solid financial markets background will be considered as well.
  • The candidate must possess solid Financial Markets experience - educational and ideally practical. Foreign Exchange knowledge is a strong plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are essential; Other language skills are a strong plus.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) combined with high IT-affinity and ideally experience with financial markets software products.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and a strong team player.
  • The candidate must be a highly professional, self-motivated and organized individual with high sales and client service orientation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
Education:
  • Bachelor's (BA/BS or University) degree or equivalent
