About the Role

Our Client is looking for an experienced, motivated, detail-driven, full stack developer. Working closely with the internal Design team, this role provides a fantastic opportunity for the right person to show-off their abilities and really make an impact within a growing design and communications consultancy.

You will be responsible for developing well considered, 100% reliably web applications and technically fabulous OOP Code using MVC Frameworks such as Laravel.

In addition to PHP based back end APIs, controller logic, database design and front end creation and editing, you will need strong CSS, HTML and Javascript experience and be able to work with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap and Zurb Foundation. To keep you on your toes, you’ll be required to assist with the maintenance of legacy client sites that use existing CMS frameworks such as Wordpress and Perch.

You will have good literacy and numeracy skills and be a confident, outgoing, resilient individual with a good sense of humour, able to present, in writing and on occasion in person, to existing and potential clients. You should be able to approach all development projects with a creative and open-minded approach in order to contribute to digital projects that deliver outstanding results.

You must be able to use your own initiative to identify issues and apply solutions to problems. Keeping abreast of the constantly changing world of digital is a must and opportunities to train and learn will be provided.

Knowledge and experience of the following is required HTML 5, CSS 3, PHP (5+ years), CSS preprocessors: SASS, LESS, Javascript (Vanilla, jQuery or other libraries), responsive front-end frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation), task runners (Gulp, Grunt), package managers (Yarn, NPM), version control (Git) MySQL, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.

Also MVC framework experience, Linux administration, Composer, responsive HTML email creation (desirable).
