Front Desk Duty Officer / Receptionist with excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and administrative skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise is required for well-established charity based in Leicester, Leicestershire, East Midlands.
SALARY: £11.44 per hour
LOCATION: Leicester, Leicestershire, East Midlands
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Sessional - Various shifts available (Evenings and Weekends)
- Weekday Shifts: 4pm - 9pm or 4pm - 10pm (site dependent)
- Weekend Shifts: 8am - 4pm

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Front Desk Duty Officer / Receptionist with excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and administrative skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
Working as the Front Desk Duty Officer / Receptionist you will provide a welcoming and professional reception service. Taking responsibility for ensuring that all incoming post is sorted and received and that parcels are logged and forwarded to authorised business users.
As the Front Desk Duty Officer / Receptionist you will be dealing effectively with face to face, telephone and email enquiries. Completing booking forms to ensure customer requirements are met, issuing receipts for cash and card payments taken and reconciling payments received.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Front Desk Duty Officer / Receptionist could include:
- Provide a welcoming and professional reception service. Taking responsibility for ensuring that all incoming post is sorted and received and that parcels are logged and forwarded to authorised business users
- Dealing effectively with face to face, telephone and email enquiries. Completing booking forms to ensure customer requirements are met, issuing receipts for cash and card payments taken and reconciling payments received
- Working effectively as a team member, sharing information and supporting colleagues in delivering open days, events and projects such as 'Holiday Hunger Schemes’ (this could include setting up / clearing spaces, supporting mealtimes, providing first aid, managing lost property)
- Ensure that monitoring and recording systems are used (computer based and manual) to share information and support service delivery. Track customer activities and provide statistical information for monitoring key for future development
- Support the wider team ensuring that hireable space is available as booked including the setting out, clearing/cleaning of rooms/space. In addition to take responsibility for the coordination of refreshments and resources requested. Checking spaces after each hire to ensure the highest possible standard is maintained and any damage is reported promptly
- Ensure that the presentation of the reception and communal areas are excellent at all times including Kitchens, Car park and Bin store. In particular ensuring that daily Building checks are completed and that all equipment and facilities are being used in a safe and effective way with requirements being documented and urgent actions being reported to the centre manager
- Support the day to day Health and Safety checks and monitoring, including the testing and checking of alarms, Emergency lighting, Water temperatures, clear routes of exits and entrances and any other statutory requirements in place. To report all issues as they occur to the Centre Manager
- Actively promote the centre and the services that it offers via a number of channels, in line with the centres marketing strategy
- Undertake personal development in the role from personal and professional purposes
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Good people / customer service skills
- Good administration skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Great organisational / time management skills
This role is subject to a DBS check (site dependant)
