I am working with an exceptional independent girls school based in Hammersmith who are looking to appoint a French Teacher to start April 2018.
This permanent opportunity has come about as a current member of staff is leaving the department in April to follow their partner who has secured a new position abroad. The role would begin initially as a part time appointment of 4 days a week for the summer term but would go up to full time from September 2018.
The school has a very strong MFL department that is run and staffed predominantly by native speakers of each language. It is not necessary to be a native speaker to be considered for this role but the school are naturally looking for a candidate with outstanding subject knowledge.
While this is a French teaching role and the school are looking for a French specialist in the first instance, the ability to offer a second language to any level would be of great benefit.
The school is rigorous in its interview process and will ask all candidates called to interview to plan and prepare 2 observation lessons; one for KS3/4, one for KS5.
