Freelance Employer's Agent/Contract Administration Quantity Surveyor (Outside IR35)

A leading construction consultancy client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a freelance role 6 to 12 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to work on high-profile commercial office projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all quantity surveying duties including cost estimating, value engineering, procurement, and contract administration
  • Act as the Employer's Agent, administering construction contracts and ensuring compliance
  • Prepare monthly valuation certificates, variation orders, and final accounts
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders
  • Monitor project costs against approved budgets and report on financial status

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with Employer's Agent and Contract Administration experience
  • Proven track record on commercial office projects (preferential)
  • Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC, and other standard form contracts
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills


This freelance role offers a competitive day rate commensurate with experience.
