Salary: Up to £75,000 DOE

Hybrid working pattern: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working such as 2-3 days a week on-site. This is flexible and can be more or less to suit personal circumstance and project needs. We are also open to compressed hours or part-time working in this role.

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced FPGA Designer to be involved in the development of our growing portfolio of complex FPGA platforms. The portfolio ranges from advanced signal processing systems (Image\Radio), core embedded processing systems, through to safety and security critical systems.

Your role will involve all phases of the FPGA design life cycle, from requirement inception through to a validated design. This offers a great opportunity to strongly influence the design, push the use of latest technologies and interact with the wider multidiscipline design teams.

Our portfolio uses devices from all the major FPGA vendors and we are always looking to use cutting edge tools and technologies. In this role, you will be part of a strong team of FPGA designers and will be key to delivering our current and future products.

What we're looking for

Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) with experience in the majority of the following areas:

  • Generating complex FPGA architectures and design implementations (VHDL, Simulink etc), targeting Xilinx, Intel, Microsemi devices.
  • Verifying complex FPGA implementations using VHDL and System Verilog\UVM test-bench methodologies.
  • Using FPGA design toolsets and Mentor verification tools (QuestaSim & ModelSim).
  • Generating low-level software (C) to facilitate FPGA test and integration with the wider embedded system, along with the ability to Configure and Document designs to a high professional standard.
