Purpose of the role:

  1. Enable better business decision making through:
    • Provision of reliable, understandable and relevant data;
    • Challenging assumptions, actions and priorities
    • Delivery of insight into past and future financial performance through reporting and analytics
  2. As a key partner to the business, represent and promote Finance as a value adding part of ongoing business operations

Key responsibilities:

  1. General sales & admin costs
    • Business partnering with cost centre owners and the EMEAI leadership team in managing their costs and providing analysis vs budget month by month
    • To generate automated reporting in this area
    • Achieve greater visibility on centrally allocated costs
    • On a monthly basis prepare a concise, insightful variance commentary for the major spend lines, incorporating a constant currency analysis of the numbers
    • Other ad-hoc activity such as supporting marketing teams with ROI analysis
  2. Headcount
    • Producing a comparison of actual headcount vs budget headcount on a monthly basis and understanding variances
  3. R&D
    • Supporting R&D function leads in the critical analysis of new R&D projects including involvement in the decision making process
  4. Cashflow / working capital
    • Supporting the FP&A Manager and the Regional FD in understanding and reviewing improvements in the working capital cycle
  5. Other
  • Support the FP&A Manager with reporting to the EMEAI Leadership Team
  • Support any ongoing M&A activity
  • Deliver robust and value added long and short term planning processes into the Region (LRP, AoP, rolling forecasting)
  • Play a leading role in the delivery of a robust annual budget for GS&A costs
  • Assist with the roll out of the new SAP BPC forecasting system
  • Assist with embedding the FP&A function as a partner to the business in delivering business understanding and better decision making
