FORKLIFT DRIVER

Berry Recruitment are sourcing a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to work with our Client based in Wolverhampton

This role is a Temporary/ongoing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
• Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
• Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
• Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
• Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
• Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
• Using industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport
• Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
• Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods

Working Hours / Days:

• Shifts are rotational with a week of each:

  • Morning shift - 6am to 2pm,
  • Afternoon shift 2pm-10pm,
  • Night shift - 10pm to 6am.
  • Friday is a 6.5hr shift

Pay rates:

• • Morning shift £12.78
  • Afternoon shift £12.78
  • Night shift £14.53
  • Saturday overtime pay rate is £17.43
  • Sunday overtime pay rate is £23.24

• • Weekly pay
  • Guaranteed 36.5 hour week on an ongoing contract.
  • Dedicated on-site support from Berry

Ideal Candidate:

• Must have a Counterbalance licence (not in-house)
• Experience working on a counterbalance
• Must have your own transport to be able to get to site
