Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative

Position: Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative

Duration: Temporary with potential for permanent placement

Location: Orton Southgate, Peterborough.

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm

Pay Rate: £12.50PH

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and related equipment to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, address minor maintenance tasks, and ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment
• Pick and pack orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Wrapping pallets & using scan guns
• Assist in keeping the warehouse clean and organised

Experience:

• Valid Counterbalance Certificate and demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting
• Sound understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and supervisors
• Physical capability to lift and move heavy materials as required
