Hammonds, UK's largest choice of fitted furniture company requires a licenced Fork Lift Truck Driver, working on our dayshift which is 8.00am-4:00pm, based in our Head Office manufacturing plant in Hinckley, Leicestershire. We are offering a salary of £9.07 per hour.
Founded in 1926, this family run business manufacturers and retails throughout the UK via its own high street locations and concessions within well known high street furniture retailers.
As our Fork Lift Truck Driver, you will be a key member of the Stores team and will be required to help manage a storage facility containing raw sheet material, pick from stock and deliver to the production units to a strict deadline to ensure productivity targets are achieved.
The working hours will be Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities of a Fork Lift Truck Driver, duties will include:
- Responsible for the loading/unloading of vehicles using Counter Balance Trucks.
- Carrying of Stillages of Glass, Oversized pallets of raw materials
- Responsible for all goods in items, Documents and Computerized goods in.
- Stock replenishment and putt away.
- Cleanliness of Yard and Goods in areas.
- Working to tight deadlines
- Collection and disposal of waste material
- Other duties as specified by the Team Leader
To become our Fork Lift Truck Driver, you must have a valid RTITB licence which permits you to drive a counterbalance Forklift Truck; diesel up to 5 tonne and relevant work experience.
