FMCG Business Development Executive (South)

Reed Sales are recruiting for an FMCG Business Development Executive (South) on behalf of their client based in Norfolk, to join their team.

With an enviable product portfolio and brand leading gourmet snack range of healthier products, I am looking for someone to share in their vision and ambition to become a major European snack food company by embracing this key role which is focused on delivering new business to give snacking consumers the opportunity to enjoy their diverse product range, wherever, 24/7.

Key Accountabilities

- Using your own initiative, identify, target and open new accounts across all impulse trade sectors within your geographical area

- Assist with the establishment & development of newly opened National Accounts at local geographical level to ensure compliance and set future growth plans via site visits & contact with area & field management

- Maintain & develop business through a network of existing established licensed and non-licensed distributors, working with them to develop mutual new customers for our portfolio of products

- Follow up new business leads in your geographical area provided by the New
Business Development Manager

- Work with the New Business Development Manager to develop and implement strategic plans and sector specific objectives

- Work creatively with the Marketing Dept. and the Marketing functions of our customers to develop innovative, cutting edge Point of Sale and display solutions which will continue to give us a competitive edge at Point of Purchase

- Represent the company at Trade Shows & Exhibitions, maximising new business leads and ultimately converting these into business gains

- Have high levels of personal accountability in delivering & exceeding targets

- Be open to thrive on in-role coaching and feedback because of your desire to develop

Qualifications

- A demonstrable track record in developing and delivering New Business
- An understanding of current Routes to Market in the Impulse Sector
- Ideally degree educated or evidence of strong academics
- Knowledge of the on-trade sector would be a distinct advantage
