FIRST LINE MANAGER - NIGHT SHIFT

SUNDAY - THURSDAY: 22.00 - 06.00 

£34,000 PER ANNUM

People Solutions are looking for a First Line Manager for our Client based in Crick.

Day to Day Duties

  • You will oversee the inbound cross-dock operation
  • Successfully execute the daily plans and ensure all resources are allocated
  • Manage up to 50 drivers and office staff
  • Ensuring all driver route paperwork is completed
  • Assisting the Transport Manager to create a compliant and effective operational team
  • Overseeing the day-to-day vehicle operations

Essential Skills

  • Proven track record as a Transport First Line Manager
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced 3PL or cross-dock operation
  • Transport Legislation / Working Time Directive / Driving hours knowledge is essential
  • Experience dealing with Accident/Incident Reports and overseeing any investigations
  • Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word & Excel) and ability to use in-house systems with ease
  • Admin skills, analytical skills, customer focus, eye for detail, strong team player, flexible and committed to achieving team/site objectives
  • Target/results driven, good IT skills with Gmail, Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, organisational and time management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated and a problem solver
  • Previous experience working as a Frist Line Manager
