Avanti Recruitment have partnered with a worldwide consumer electronics company which is looking to add a firmware engineer to its team based in Swansea. You’ll be working on multiple projects at various stages, taking new ideas from prototype stages all the way through the full development life-cycle to release, and will also be involved in new feature development for existing products. We’re looking for people who are in their element when solving complex engineering challenges, and who are hungry to learn on the job as the company offers lots of professional development & career growth opportunities as the team continues to expand.

The ideal candidate will have:
Experience with bare-metal embedded software programming in C
Experience working with serial/communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.)

Also highly advantageous would be:
Experience working on standards-driven development projects (automotive, medical, defence, etc.)
Knowledge of / experience with MISRA-style coding techniques
Experience with the full product design life-cycle
Knowledge of / experience working with electronics (PCB design/layout, etc.)
