Our client are a small fire engineering consultancy based in Doncaster and is looking to expand its team of engineers with either a qualified fire engineer or a chartered surveyor with a building control background who wish to further their career specialising in fire safety.
Due to continued growth and expansion our client now seeks a qualified Fire Engineer/Chartered Surveyor.
The work mainly comprises working alongside contractors and architects and developing their schemes that deliver design solutions which meet their clients' aspirations and satisfy the functional requirements on fire safety.

The work is nationwide although the company office is based in Doncaster in which the majority of the candidate's time will be office-based. You will be expected to attend client meetings and carry out site inspections to check that fire safety measures have been adequately installed (but not to sign-off) and therefore a good appreciation of the various types of fire safety products and how they are installed is important. Training can be provided by the company to enhance existing knowledge. Where there is a long-distance meeting, there will be occasional stay overnight in which reasonable hotel and business expenses will be fully reimbursed.
We encourage the successful applicant to further their knowledge in fire safety engineering and will make provision to attend courses if desired, as part of their continuing professional development.
