Fire Door Engineer / Field Service Engineer. A London based fire protection / fire safety firm are looking for a Fire Door Engineer / Field Service Engineer with responsibility for completing refurbishment, maintenance, inspection and delivering a high level of workmanship
The Fire Door Engineer / Field Service Engineer will be:
- Working in a team and independently when required
- Liaise with management team daily.
- Perform inspections and assessments of existing fire-rated doors to identify any repairs or replacements needed.
- Install fire-rated doors in accordance with fire regulations, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Install and maintain fire-rated door hardware, including locks, hinges, closers, and panic devices.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, including fire ratings, smoke sealing, and door clearances.
- Maintain accurate records of door installations, repairs, and inspections.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Travel to multiple sites as required.
The Fire Door Engineer / Field Service Engineer will need the following experience:
UK Driving License (required)
All aspects of fire door installation and maintenance
Solid understanding of fire safety regulations, carpentry techniques, and possess strong attention to detail.
Health & Safety awareness, and safe working
Fire Door installation trained / qualified - Desirable.
The Fire Door Engineer / Field Service Engineer salary is £35-43k depending on experience + company van + benefits
