A permanent opportunity with an ambitious Fire and Security company based in Peterborough.

This role would suit someone who is looking for a diverse mix of service, small works and installation knowledge and experience.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible and professional. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems and taking control of a situation for a positive outcome.

The role will require travelling and some (infrequent) nights away.

Responsibilities - Fire and Security Service Engineer:

  • Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, installation and commissioning of Fire Alarms and Security Systems.
  • Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control - Installation, Service and Maintenance.
  • Plan and organise schedules to ensure that duties are carried out with efficiency in mind.
  • Complete all relevant documentation and records, in an accurate and timely manner to the required standards.
  • Take an active part in the call out Rota as/when required.
  • Actively participate in the monitoring of the service departments.
  • Supporting the back office and job management quality.
  • Participate within the call out Rota.

Skills Required - Fire and Security Service Engineer:

  • Excellent communication skills - working closely with internal colleagues and customers on site.
  • Minimum of 3 years fire and security experience.
  • Able to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Able to work to set deadlines.
  • Keen to make a difference in a small but growing team.

  • Core hours, Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm.
  • Call out - 1 in 4 (£100 standby). 1.5 on call out.
  • Overtime available.
  • Van, phone, laptop provided.
  • Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
