Financial Controller

Our client, a family owned business in Manchester are looking to appoint a dynamic Financial Controller to run the Finance function, drive performance and support the Directors. This is a key role in the business and will suit someone ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with experience in a SME and operated at a similar level, with strong leadership skills. This is an office based role and candidates will ideally be available at short notice.

Salary: £65,000-£75,000 plus bonus
Location: Manchester (on site)

Responsibilities:

· Production of monthly management accounts including commentary and supporting schedules.
· Managing a small team.
· Budgeting & Forecasting.
· WIP analysis, including job reviews with project managers.
· Job and profitability analysis.
· Cashflow management.
· Balance Sheet reconciliations.
· Managing the year end audit.
· Production of statutory accounts.
· Driving continuous improvement and streamlining processes.
· Reviewing VAT/PAYE.
· Key point of contact for bank and external factoring.

Requirements:

· ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified.
· Advanced Excel skills.
· Skilled in building financial models for forecasting.
· Experience in construction/engineering experience would be advantageous
