Financial Controller, Ipswich (hybrid)

An innovative, large and ever expanding group are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting and manage the finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in achieving our financial objectives.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Produce key financial information for the group of companies, both for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support and challenge the Operations Management team to meet and exceed budgeted targets.
  • Maintain robust financial controls within the organisation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team members.
  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts and audit schedules.
  • Develop annual budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including monthly submissions and audits.
  • Travel to various office locations and sites as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven track record in financial management with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence decisions and effectively manage relationships at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
  • Willingness to travel as part of the role.
