Reed Finance are working exclusively with a market leading organisation who are in the midst of an exciting period of growth.  Our client is committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth and as they continue to expand, they are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join the team.

Role Overview:

The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, external auditors, and cross-functional teams.

Statutory Reporting:

  • Prepare and oversee all statutory reporting for the group and subsidiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Financial Presentations:

  • Create and deliver compelling analyst presentations at interim and year-end meetings.
  • Synthesise complex financial data into clear, concise messages.

Trading Updates:

  • Be responsible for preparing accurate numbers for trading updates.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information dissemination.

External Audit Management:

  • Manage the external audit process.
  • Coordinate with divisions and auditors to facilitate smooth audits.

IFRS Adjustments:

  • Review and prepare all IFRS adjustments.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial statements.

Group Consolidation:

  • Oversee the Group consolidation process.
  • Validate intercompany transactions and eliminate discrepancies.

Treasury Oversight:

  • Provide high-level oversight of the Group’s treasury activities.
  • Collaborate with the treasury team to optimize cash management and liquidity.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5 finance professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Qualifications:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience in financial control, preferably from a practice background.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
