Financial Controller

Are you a hands on and experienced Financial Controller who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity? You will take full ownership of the accounting functions and will be working for a well established and growing business based in East Sussex.

Key Responsibilities:

• Authorise all bank payments/transfers
• Maintaining and updating all bank accounts
• Weekly/Monthly bank balances reports
• Support and provide management with accounting/tax/VAT queries
• Monitor all bank accounts to ensure sufficient funds are held within each individual account
• Prepare client fund statements
• Review and post Payroll journal to Sage
• VAT returns for Group Companies
• Management fee invoices
• Year-end accounts preparation for Group Companies
• Produce Financial statements
• Year-end tax queries
• Preparing and submitting year-end UK tax returns

Skill Required:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• A minimum of 5 years experience working in a similar role
• Excellent analytical and decision making skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, with previous experience of managing a team
• Previous experience using Sage
