Reed Finance are pleased to be partnering with a successful business in the logistics space who are seeking a new Financial Controller/Manager. Partnering with senior leaders and managing key finance personnel, the Financial Controller will be instrumental in supporting and facilitating business growth whilst maximising profitability. This position is initially a 1 year fixed term contract with a potential to go permanent, subject to business performance.

A few key responsibilities include:

Variance analysis (vs CY-LY-Budget-Forecast)

Analysis and explanation of deviations and finalization of Reporting Packages

Budgeting activities

Support for the preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts according to US GAAP principles and the Statutory Financial Statements according to UK GAAP principles

Accounts Receivable controlling (Factoring management, Rebate accruals, payment days and bad-debt risk calculation)

Assist in yearly financial audits by external audit companies, including SOX compliance

Other responsibilities might include (BS and bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, tax reporting support, AR management, creation of forecasting models, sensitivity analysis, etc)

A few requirements in order to be considered:

Fully ACA,ACCA or CIMA qualified 

Relevant senior finance experience, either leading or supporting a finance team

Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

You will need to be immediately available as the role is  1 year fixed term contract.
