Financial Analyst - SUPERB ROLE

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with one of the world’s most highly recognisable brands who have various autonomous divisions across the UK & Internationally. One of their UK divisions is now looking to recruit a Financial Analyst with strong IT skills who will be responsible for high quality financial planning & analysis for senior management, providing financial data that can help better decision-making across the business. Key duties include:

• Supporting the Leadership Team with budget planning and forecasts; ensuring they are supported by in-depth explanations of assumptions, variance and sensitivity analysis

• Managing internal financial reporting for the Leadership Team, including clear & concise analysis and commentary around profitability analysis, client acquisition costs

• Analysing costs, questioning and challenging expenditure with budget holders to ensure they are controlled properly on a cost-centre basis

• Developing IT systems to improve planning and financial reporting, including KPI’s which enhance the evaluation of performance

• Developing and maintaining the customer pricing financial model

• Supporting the Senior Team with financial appraisals and analysis of new business opportunities and projects

• Ensuring all financial process documents for all activities are up-to-date

• Complying with all relevant legislation and attending Financial update training as required

To be considered for the role you should be a part-qualified or fully qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA) with very strong IT skills (inc Excel and multi-dimensional modelling tools ideally) and excellent data analysis skills. Along with being a good communicator, you should be able to clearly present financial information to non-finance managers, have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a questioning approach around cost-control and efficiencies. Whilst a Financial Services or related industry background is preferred it is not essential - expertise in financial modelling, IT systems and data manipulation is more important.

On offer is a base salary up to £40,000 + 20% bonus, company car or £5,000 car allowance, 25 days holiday, company pension and healthcare schemes, and other flexible benefits.
