Finance Officer

My client, a housing association based in the borough of Bromley require a part time Finance Officer to support with day to day functions.

Duration – Temp to Perm
Start date – ASAP
Hours – 21 per week (potential to increase)

Key tasks:
- Ensure that information held in the accounting system is accurate and up to date with regard to rents, cash payments and supplier invoices
- Maintain supplier register and Purchase Ledger
- Ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately
- Timely payments
- BACS payment runs in a weekly basis
- Assist in cash book and nominal ledger journals & reconciliations
- Take and post rent payments from tenants
- Run weekly rent debit and reconcile rent
- Assist with other ad-hoc duties as required by the Finance Manager

General:
- To work flexibly and positively as part of a small team. Everyone is expected to provide the highest level of customer service and answer all incoming calls
- Put the tenants first at all time
- To undertake any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time

Desirable:
- Accounts experience within the housing association industry
