Finance Manager

• Annual Salary: £60,000-£70,000

Reed Finance are supporting our client who are seeking a Finance Manager to provide essential support to the Finance Director and senior management. This role involves leading the finance team and managing the day-to-day financial operations within a leading manufacturing business.

• Oversee the daily postings of Accounts Payable Ledger, Accounts Receivable Ledger, Cashbooks, and Nominal Ledger.
• Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed and queries are resolved promptly.
• Analyse and report on overhead nominal ledger codes, comparing to budget/prior year to ensure accuracy in postings, accruals, and journal entries.
• Support the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting packs and analysis.
• Review Purchase Orders raised by departments and provide cost information to managers for budget review.
• Review monthly VAT returns and support the preparer.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and Construction in Progress Register.
• Lead the systems review process and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Act as the main point of contact for information required by external auditors.
• Assist in budget and forecast preparation in collaboration with cost centre managers, sales team, and other stakeholders.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong IT/systems knowledge, with experience using an ERP system being beneficial.
• Proven track record of building relationships across an organisation, including both finance and non-finance personnel.
• Team management experience is advantageous.
