Finance Manager

  • Annual Salary: £50K-£55K

Our client, a specialist IT solutions provider, are seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting the transition of the revenue model and implementing a new finance system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing finance operations, managing the team, and driving continuous improvement in accounting processes and systems.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Produce monthly management information across the group of companies.
  • Analyse monthly and quarterly financial data and present findings.
  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budget and present weekly credit risk reports.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and providing cover as required.
  • Prepare and post monthly accounting entries such as accruals and prepayments.
  • Manage and review the work of the Finance Assistant.
  • Handle monthly FOREX transactions and requirements.
  • Drive the improvement of end-to-end accounting processes and systems.
  • Identify financial risks and propose solutions.
  • Manage working capital, including cash flow forecasts.
  • Take overall responsibility for payroll, pension, VAT, and HMRC processes.
  • Produce year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants for filing.
  • Advise on investment activities and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Manage renewals of leases, insurances, private health scheme, utilities, etc.
  • Assist in the management of ISO9001 certification and liaise with other departments as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Proficient in finance software, Excel, and financial modelling.
  • Experience in accounts payable and receivable.
  • Capable of producing monthly management accounts and statutory accounts.
  • Ability to delegate and manage the work of others.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Desirable experience with EU and US finance regulations.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
