We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our growing client based in Bicester. A family run business, this company is looking for a dedicated individual to support their existing team to meet the increasing demand.

Working hours will consist of 25 to 30 hours, either worked as 3 full days or 5 days in school hours. All worked between the hours of 08:30-17:00.

Duties of the role:

  • Sales Ledger with payment receipts.
  • Reconcile nominal balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving outstanding balances.
  • Purchase Ledger including inputting, balancing and paying suppliers.
  • Maintain knowledge of all HMRC requirements for the business to include VAT returns, Benefits in Kind, Corporation tax, etc.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations.
  • Understand profit and loss alongside balance sheets in order to report to Senior Management supporting with year end preparation.
  • Completing VAT returns.
  • Wage preparation.
  • Sage payroll and Pension administration.
  • CIS and DRC processing.
  • Execute and understand nominals and journals.
  • Stock control.
  • Taking inbound calls and making relevant outbound calls, managing queries and following up outstanding debt.
  • General administration.

You must:

  • Have an AAT qualification or equivalent.
  • Hold previous experience within a Finance Manager role.
  • Be computer literate, confident on spreadsheet work and able to learn new software.
  • Work well within a team.
  • Show strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Be willing to develop within your role.
  • Demonstrate experience with Sage Accounts and Payroll.

Overtime this role has the potential to become a full time position, and the ideal candidate would be able to offer this flexibility.
