My client is a high growth, PE backed business in Bolton, they are seeking a Finance Manager. This role is looking for a highly motivated leader to lead the finance team of six. The finance team is responsible for processing finance transactions in the business including payroll, purchase ledger and treasury management activities.

Reporting to the FC duties of this role include:

  • Management and leadership of the finance team
  • Develop and implement process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Liaise with senior managers to implement process and systems improvements and ensure they are implemented and followed correctly.
  • Manage and control the bank reconciliations process on a daily and weekly basis, ensuring bank transactions (including foreign currency transactions) are processed on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Manage and develop the payroll process alongside the payroll administrator, liaising with the payroll bureau to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing.
  • Manage the purchase ledger process, ensuring robust controls over the processing and payment of invoices and providing visibility of payment schedules to enable reliable cashflow forecasting.
  • Manage and develop the customer accounts reconciliation process, ensuring accounts are understandable, and ensuring payments and invoices are cleared down on a timely basis.
  • Work closely with the FP&A team and other senior managers to assist with robust cashflow forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Assist in the production of weekly and monthly internal control and compliance reports for review by area managers and senior management.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required.

The right candidate for the role will have:

  • Good technical skills with an ability to improve processes and functionality.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Positive and proactive approach to personal development
  • Confident with IT, especially Excel. SAP experience would be advantageous.
  • Part / Fully Qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
