Finance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a multi-generational business with over 125 years of industry experience.

WHAT YOU WILL WANT TO KNOW AS A FINANCE MANAGER;

• £40,000 - £50,000per annum
• Monday-Friday, 8.30am-17.30pm
• Fully office based role
• 20 days holiday + Bank holidays
• Free car parking at their flag ship site, just outside of Selby!
• Staff discounts at all sites across UK
• Due to location you will need your own transport

A SNAPSHOT OF THE FINANCE MANAGER’S DAY

The Finance Manager will oversee all accounting functions within the business

• You will be responsible for the Finance team
• Ensure timely preparation of group monthly management reporting.
• Responsible for managing the audit of the Group consolidated accounts
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and current legislation.

Does this sound like a good fit for you? Please read on for the essential skills our client is hoping you will be able to showcase:

• Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years post qualification experience or qualified by experience, preferably in industry/retail.
• Solid management accounts preparation, review, and analytical skills
• Technical accounting knowledge including exposure to preparing for or audit of medium/large group company accounts.
• Advanced Excel skills
• Power BI and Sage 200 knowledge desirable but not essential
• Financial planning, budgeting, and analysis skills
• Experience of managing and developing finance teams and processes
• Capable of working to tight deadlines whilst retaining a keen eye for detail and accuracy: and
• Ability to identify and continually drive improvements.
