Finance Director

My client, a leader in the Spread Betting, CFD Trading space, is on the lookout for a seasoned Finance Director with a strong background in CASS and FCA regulatory frameworks to lead their B2B division’s financial strategy and operations. This role is ideal for a senior finance professional who is adept at navigating the complexities of financial regulations within the financial services sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in steering the division towards financial excellence, ensuring compliance, and driving profitability.

• Lead the B2B Finance team, ensuring excellence in financial activities and compliance with tax, FCA regulatory, and statutory accounting standards.
• Spearhead financial statement preparation, performance monitoring, variance analysis, and the implementation of strategic financial improvements.
• Manage cash flow and working capital, focusing on optimising the division’s financial health.
• Establish and enforce stringent financial controls, policies, and procedures in line with CASS and other regulatory requirements.
• Direct the preparation of management accounts and ensure accurate FCA regulatory reporting.
• Contribute to entity governance and audit committee meetings with insightful financial reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and uphold financial integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cost efficiencies and drive divisional profitability.
• Foster strong relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies, representing the division’s financial interests.

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience in a finance leadership role within the financial services industry.
• Demonstrable experience with CASS and FCA regulatory frameworks, with a deep understanding of their impact on financial operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or a related field.
• Proficient in technical accounting with a solid grasp of IFRS.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven track record of effective team leadership and development.
• Familiarity with SAP general ledger systems and advanced financial software tools.
