Our client are looking for an experienced Finance Director to inject fun and lead their large finance function. The successful candidate will be motivated and energised by the business’ exceptional drive for growth. Role & Responsibilities of the Finance Director:

• Responsible for the wider finance team who work on a flexible basis, but have a smaller number of direct reports.
• Maintain a high level of regular communication to both in the finance function and across collaborative departments.
• Ensure that there are processes in place within the finance function to identify and develop high potential employees and to provide for succession planning.
• Work closely with the CEO as part of the senior management team to plan, develop and implement financial strategies.
• Advising the senior leadership team on profit forecasting, variations in performance and requirements to deliver targets.
• Ensure that both financial reporting is to the highest standards and that month/year end accounts preparation and reporting are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage systems efficiencies and integration, process improvement, and effectiveness across the finance team.
• Management and control of banking, balance sheet, annual budget and regular forecasting, risks and the risk policy as well as a clear process for approval and management of expenditure.
• Responsible for credit control functions including the team and overall accountability for reducing outstanding debt.
• Ensure compliance with all audits (internal and external) as well as HMRC and governance requirements across the finance function.
• Responsibility for all areas of tax and financial compliance within the business.

About You as the Finance Director:

• Qualified Accountant with experience at Financial Director level.
• Experience motivating and leading a large finance team and celebrating their successes.
• Proven background in continuous improvement and system efficiencies.
• Outstanding stakeholder relationship management.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on performance.
