Reed Finance are pleased to be supporting our client in their search for an Finance Analyst/FP&A Accountant to join their finance team. This role is crucial as the business scales up and will focus on forward-looking commercial accounting and analytical tasks. The successful candidate will be the company's first hire in a dedicated FP&A role, requiring the ability to implement new reports, financial models, and analysis.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Build, maintain, and develop a framework of management information reporting & KPIs.
  • Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement activities.
  • Conduct variance analysis to establish root causes and provide insights.
  • Develop financial models to analyse SKU margins and report on trends across revenues, costs, operating expenses, capital expenditures, cash flow, and inventory.
  • Provide periodic and on-demand analytics to facilitate strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Assist in communicating management information to the Board and Senior Management Team for business decision-making.
  • Contribute to business development projects with an impact on management information and reporting.
  • Offer pragmatic short-term workarounds while building medium-term solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or other product-based businesses with multiple products/SKUs/Inventory.
  • Strong data skills and familiarity with reporting/BI tools.
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills, with experience building models and solutions from scratch.
  • Competence with ERP accounting systems.

  • Curiosity and willingness to do the ‘heavy lifting’.
  • Vision of ‘what good looks like’ and the ability to manifest that vision into tangible outputs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to foster good relationships at all levels.
