Job Title: Field Surveyor

Location: Hereford, Herefordshire

Pay Rate:

  • £12.40 per hour

Hours per Week:

  • 22-30 hours on average

Duration:

  • Minimum 3 months with potential for a permanent position

Expenses:

  • Mileage: £0.45 per mile
  • £5.00 lunch allowance for 5 hours or more worked

Must Have:

  • Valid driving licence
  • Own car

Must Be Willing To:

  • Apply for a basic DBS (we cover the cost)
  • Obtain business car insurance upon completion of training

Job Description:

As a Field Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to travel to various areas within Hereford, engaging with the public and encouraging them to complete an online survey. This survey, designed to collect vital data for the Office of National Statistics, plays a crucial role in shaping future government plans and agendas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to designated locations within the city
  • Approach members of the public in a friendly and professional manner
  • Explain the purpose of the survey and encourage participation
  • Assist participants with completing the survey as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of completed surveys and mileage

Requirements:

  • Valid driving licence and own car
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and travel to different locations
  • Previous experience in customer service or field-based roles is advantageous
