A fantastic opportunity has arisen here at Service Express! We are seeking an additional Field Service Engineer in the North West London area to join our forward thinking employee focused organisation.

This is a full time position, where you will be working as part of a small team to provide a full installation, maintenance, and repair service to a key customer within the financial services industry. To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable with working night shifts as this is a day shift focused role. Travel to some other sites will be required so we offer you a car allowance.

We are looking for Engineers who are multivendor skilled including IBM. Not only will you be a skilled engineer, you will be able to build good relationships with your fellow onsite engineers and data centre employees to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.

What you will do:

  • Maintain and repair customer’s data centre equipment.
  • Manage calls to ensure that customer SLA’s are achieved.
  • Build good relationships with fellow onsite engineers and DC staff.
  • Install hardware upgrades and new systems.
  • Perform site audits and surveys to ensure customers installed equipment and features match Service Express inventory.
  • Perform System Health Checks data Centre walkarounds.

What you will bring:

  • Experience with IBM is essential. Additional experience with HP, Cisco, Sun, Dell, Juniper is highly desirable
  • Team player willing to support others and the Business
  • To work closely with technical support on new products and integration into the field.
  • Good communicator at all levels especially with our customers and helpdesks.
  • Leads by example
  • Solid commercial awareness - be a fantastic representative of Service Express
  • Be able to pass on knowledge and Identify improvements required in our capability to carry out the maintenance function
  • Good time management skills
