Field Sales Executive/Business Developer - Region - Midlands - Dudley/Coventry/Leicester/East Midlands/Peterborough
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established and expanding Midlands based manufacturer as a Sales Executive.
Are you in an internal sales role working for a manufacturing/engineering business where you have had some exposure to face to face sales and are looking to grow into an externally based role?
Do you have a minimum of 3 years business to business field sales experience working for an engineering/manufacturing company?
If so this exciting new role could well be what you are looking for?
The main purpose of the role is to grow and manage the allocated business region and you will be joining a very successful Sales Team.
We are looking for candidates who have a proven track record in selling an engineered product, if you also have an engineering qualification this would really help in gaining the respect and trust of end users and distributors.
You will be meeting with customers onsite and discussing their forthcoming projects and along with obvious salesmanship you will need to be able to discuss installation, strength testing ect which is why the engineering background is so important.
We are looking for someone who has the hunting instinct of a new business developer along with the nurturing qualities of an Account Manager.
Day to day tasks will include:
> Consistently achieving/exceeding agreed sales targets and objectives.
> Pro-actively research and follow up potential new customers and opportunities.
> Follow up and report on all quotations on your allocated Sales Area.
> Maintain a working plan and report all activities within the Company CRM programme
> Build and maintain strong bonds/relationships with existing and new customers, to ensure excellent communication at all levels.
>Ensure that the most profitable and practical solution is offered.
> Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of the market and all product ranges
The role will require you to be out of the office at least four full days per week visiting new and existing customers,(60% new) with up to one day working in home office.
>You will be working closely with distributors to ensure that they are able to effectively promote the product and have the knowledge to do so.
>You will be continually researching for new business opportunities
>Regular liaison with Internal Sales Teams to ensure understanding and effective response times

And above all else an excellent communicator
You will be rewarded with a basic salary of up to £32k with a competitive OTE of £45k plus company vehicle, along with out of pocket expenses cover and the tools to be able to effectively carry out your role.
