The Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) is a leading professional body representing more than 24,500 school and college leaders across the UK and we are looking for a Field Officer to join our Midlands regional team.

ASCL is seeking to appoint a field officer to undertake casework supporting ASCL members. The post will cover the East Midlands region, supporting the regional officer.

The post of field officer requires up-to-date knowledge and experience of the issues facing the senior leadership teams of schools and colleges and the ability to deal with individuals at a senior level. The post will suit applicants with recent experience as leaders of educational institutions or administrators with good experience of school or college management and a strong interest in professional issues.

Field officers normally live in or very near the boundary of the region that they serve. The post-holder will work from home although much of the role involves travel on a very frequent basis within the region to meet with members, to attend meetings and to meet with employers. There will be regular contact with and visits to ASCL HQ in Leicester plus regular training sessions. IT and telephone equipment will be provided.

This role is paid on a five-point incremental range from £61,968 to £68,259 (FTE). Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses are also covered.

ASCL is committed to equalities and values diversity. ASCL also offers a very generous package of benefits, including six weeks holiday (plus bank holidays) and a pension scheme to which the Association contributes 9%.
