Field Application Engineer

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will form part of the EMEA Service Provider team covering the WEU (Western Europe) market. The major function of the WEU Field Application Engineer is to provide professional technical and project management support for service provider and distribution partners in a timely manner. This role will involve traveling as required.

The FAE will have a background from either a Service Providors or CPE vendor. They will work with a wide range of technologies, but will especially have a solid understanding of broadband access infrastructure as this is the primary focus.

This will be a customer facing role, you must feel comfortable presenting to Engineers, Product Managers and Senior Management within SP accounts.

You must be able to manage their time and be comfortable working alone and within the team. You must have ambition to drive themselves and the company forward and will have a strong problem solving ability and a flexible can do attitude

Skills and knowledge requirements:

• Expert working networking TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS knowledge, including practical experience with wireless.
• Professional working experience of; VoIP, TR069/TR181 and xDSL, Fiber, and LTE/5G/FWA products.
• You should have been working in one of these roles:

- Second line (or higher) technical support within an SP, or

- Second line (or higher) technical support within a CPE vendor or CPE distribution partner

• Experienced in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
• You must have a valid passport from an EC member state, or if not from an EC member state have the necessary VISA(s) to travel within the EC member states
• They must have a full UK driving license and own a car.
