This role is working for a distinguished law firm based in Sheffield, acclaimed for their superior legal services in the domain of family law. To accommodate the increasing demands of their expanding client base, they are in pursuit of a proficient and seasoned Family Locum Solicitor or Legal Executive to enhance our team on an interim basis. The role will be offered on an initial 6 month term but then maybe extended further. The role will start Monday 20th May 2024.

Responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, the Family Locum Solicitor or Legal Executive will be entrusted with a broad range of exclusively private-paying family law cases. Key responsibilities will encompass:

* Conducting thorough legal research and furnishing precise, detailed advice across a spectrum of family law issues.
* Drafting and preparing key legal documents, including but not limited to contracts, agreements, and court submissions.
* Advocating for clients in court hearings and family law proceedings, ensuring diligent representation.
* Facilitating negotiations and mediation, guiding clients towards amicable resolutions.
* Rigorously maintaining and documenting case files, ensuring comprehensive record-keeping.
* Professional and efficient communication with clients, opposing counsels, and other pertinent parties.
* Adhering to strict confidentiality and ethical standards throughout all professional conduct.

Requirements:
Candidates must satisfy the following prerequisites:

* Qualifications: Hold a valid practising certificate in England and Wales as a Solicitor or Legal Executive, with a specialization in family law.
* Experience: Proven track record in managing a diverse array of family law cases, preferably within a private-paying framework.
* Expertise: In-depth understanding of family law legislation, procedural protocols, and best practices.
* Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of demystifying complex legal jargon for clients.
* Time Management: Proficient in managing multiple cases and deadlines with utmost efficiency.
* Advocacy: Demonstrated capability in client representation and advocacy in family law proceedings.
* Empathy: A sensitive and empathetic disposition, geared towards comprehensively addressing client needs.
