Facilities Supervisor

Have you got a valid UK driver's licence? Are you experienced in Facilities Management? Are you willing to manage 15-20 buildings in multiple locations of Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight (IOW)?

This role is ideal for someone who can supervise the site cleaning teams to ensure a high standard of cleanliness internally and externally. First point of contact on the management of Waste, Pest control and landscaping services.

Role - Facilities Supervisor

Location - Hybrid, Van with a fuel card will be provided to visit multiple sites in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight (IOW)

Rate of Pay - £12.26 per hour + Paid Holidays

Job Type - Full Time, Temp to Perm

Hours - 40 hours per week - Mon-Fri 08:00 to 17.00 shift

Requirements - UK Driver's Licence and Basic DBS

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage cleaning teams to deliver high-quality services aligned with KPIs, overseeing operations across 15-25 buildings.
• Manage direct reports on larger sites and operational teams on smaller sites, ensuring prompt resolution of client issues and suitable cover for unplanned absences.
• Monitor in-house systems to approve and record overtime, absence, and leave in compliance with company policies, while upholding SHEQ regulations and standards.
• Procure cleaning materials and consumables as required, maintaining cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of equipment and storage areas.
• Oversee all aspects of people management, including recruitment, onboarding, time and attendance, employee information changes, and performance management.
• Stay updated on personal and team training requirements, participating in toolbox talks to uphold soft services standards.
• Conduct periodic visits and inspections of all sites within the assigned area of responsibility, performing administrative duties as necessary.
• Flexibility required for early starts, evening shifts, and occasional weekends to meet operational needs.

Essential Requirements:

• Basic DBS Check
• UK valid Driver's Licence
• Essential experience in industry/public cleaning services, with a strong understanding of the sector.
• Prior experience supervising cleaning teams across multiple locations is essential.
• Desirable knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
• Understanding of basic health and safety principles.
• Ability to motivate cleaning teams to achieve consistent specified cleaning standards.
• Strong communication and customer care skills.
• Proactive team player with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to plan and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office systems.
