Our client is seeking a Facilities Operative to join their team on an initial temporary basis. The role is perfect for somebody who does not mind being physically active and getting their hands dirty. You will become part of a friendly team that work well together.

You’ll maintain them to the highest standards, aligning with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Keep areas safe, well-maintained, and tidy. Forge positive relationships with clients and colleagues. Your friendly demeanour and customer-focused attitude set the tone. Promote a culture of safety. Your commitment to well-being is contagious.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure that all areas meet contractual obligations, maintaining a high standard of work.
  • Promptly and courteously address customer requests.
  • Assess work for safety compliance, reporting incidents and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Actively promote health and safety across the workplace.
  • Carry out tasks in accordance with risk assessments, training, and prescribed methods.
  • Contribute to updating safe systems of work and risk assessments.
  • Properly maintain and secure all equipment and machinery.
  • Report any defects and adhere to manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations.
  • Clean communal areas and maintain open spaces, addressing repairs.
  • Safely handle items like hypodermic needles and dog fouling.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks, including gutters and void house cleans.
  • Report graffiti, complaints, or anti-social behaviour.
  • Test smoke detectors and maintain fire logs.

Requirements/Experience:

  • Full UK Driving licence required.
  • Experience of working with the public in a customer-focused manner.
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety Regulation.
