A fantastic opportunity for an experienced facilities assistant with ideally experience of working in an educational setting or Conference & Events environment.

Our client is a well -known and prestigious private secondary school establishment and this is a Full time position to support the smooth running of the various school buildings in London’s salubrious South Kensington. Core duties include reception cover, event support, ad-hoc cleaning, room set up, minor repairs and maintenance, health & safety and fire marshalling.

The role supports the reception, building management and boarding teams and is varied in its duties. You’ll provide ad-hoc Front of House presence on a rota, be familiar with fire prevention and evacuation procedures, support the building manager with managing 3rd party contractors, assisting with room set ups for external events, undertaking routine facilities checks all the while having a keen eye for budgetary constraints and environmental impact. Crucially you’ll promote and safeguard the welfare of students. You’ll assist with building maintenance and H&S and Security standards.

You will ideally be a 2nd jobber with experience of working in an educational /Events & Conference setting. You’ll have the physical ability to move and lift furniture and packages, excellent practical skills and the desire to undertake H&S training as appropriate. You’ll be friendly, helpful, conscientious with the willingness to occasionally work beyond normal office hours at times of external Events and peak workloads.
