Facilities Administrator Cambridge

Using your administration skills you will maintain from a administrative perspective two sites. Previous facilities /premises management would be ideal. Team work but the ability to work on your own and make decisions are key. Good knowledge of MS Office and excellent communication skills as well as good level of Maths.

An opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Administrator to join a major Canon site in Cambridge.We are looking to recruit a confident individual with excellent administration skills and ideally with facilities and premises experience.

To be successful in this role you will need to be committed, reliable and hard-working with a positive and proactive approach to work.

The Facility Administrator will undertake all tasks required to ensure the smooth running of the Canon Cambridge Print Production Facilities at both Whittlesford and Papworth Everard, encompassing, but not exclusive to administration, incoming and outgoing post, visitor reception, control of office products and general consumable supplies, control of production sundries and general management record keeping including meeting minutes.



What We Give:
The Facility Administrator will ensure that all customer and visitor reception processes and security protocols are are understood and followed at all times

You will ensure that the facilities at Canon Cambridge are maintained to a high standard as far as customer visits are concerned, and suggest or carry out any initiatives that may improve the overall perception of the facility. In conjunction with the Business Assurance & Change Manager, collate information on accidents / near-miss / incidents and assist with preventive and/or corrective actions to resolve any identified weaknesses.

Provide day-to-day business support for premises issues, arrange repairs and improvements to ensure they are completed without delay and there is no disruption to business and co-ordinate premises repairs for both Cambridge sites.

The Facility Administrator will also provide any Ad-hoc support required by the administrative team on site as required.

Self Development is important at Canon and you will be encouraged to take further training to develop your skills in this role through the support and guidance of your Manager.



What We Ask:
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a role within administration and the administrative maintenance of two sites within the Cambridge area. The ideal candidate will have excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills, excellent data input ability providing the relevant levels of speed and accuracy and have general administration experience. Some working knowledge of management information systems or financial information systems desirable though not essential.

Being organised you will be able to deal with handling variable and conflicting time demands, and will have had exposure to general site administration, have some Premises or facilities experience, Positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.

You will need to have good Microsoft Office knowledge, good English and Math skills.

You will have a highly service focussed approach exhibiting a reliable and responsible attitude, have demonstrable inter-personal and stakeholder management skills and a good working knowledge of administration management systems.

To be in this position, you will need to Communicate effectively, and take ownership and accountability.

Further Information:

Starting salary: £18,839 with progression on performance - £250 bonus

Location: Cambridge (Near Duxford)
