Fabricator

Title:                        Fabricator 

Location:                 Fife, Scotland

Salary                      up to £36,000 plus regular Overtime + generous Benefits

This role is 37-hours per week, working 4 days per week,  Monday to Thursday, and based onsite at Rosyth.  Regular overtime and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Precision structural steel fabrication
• Operating within tight tolerances
• Accurate alignment and marking
• Deciphering and applying engineering drawings and specifications for fabrication tasks
• Engaging in tasks such as grinding, cutting, and drilling
• Proficient use of equipment such as disc cutters, guillotines, and band saws
• Conducting arc air gouging
• Skillfully executing tack welding
• Crafting molds and templates
• Expertly fabricating and installing ventilation systems

Skills and experience of the Fabricator

• The ability to read engineering drawings
• Highly Competent in the use of hand-held and semi-automatic burning equipment;  general workshop machinery and tools specific to fabricating
• Indentured Apprenticeship
• Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in a sheet metal, structural steel or fabrication related discipline
• Level 3 Engineering qualification relevant to the role
